Learn about my Bespoke and Remodelling services

Remodelling is a way of making something new from something old. If you have inherited a piece of jewellery that isn’t your style or you have a wedding/engagement ring that no longer fits or maybe the relationship has ended, I can take that jewellery, melt it down and reimagine it into something you want and desire. I can work with any piece of jewellery, even broken earring backs or chains, as long as they’re either silver or yellow and rose gold (9, 14 and 18carat can all be melted down and mixed too together too). Gold is the best to work with as you get more value and it works out a better price than using up silver, but if the piece is of great importance to you I will happily melt your silver down. Prices vary depending on the job so get in touch with your idea and we can work it out.
Its good to note that remodelling isn’t necessarily the most money saving option when it comes to making jewellery. It is labour intensive so the price may be higher than you anticipated. Some metal like white gold can not be melted down and reused and other metals like platinum can be very expensive to reuse.

A bespoke commission is when you come to me with an idea of something you want made. That can be a variation on one of my ready made pieces or something completely new that you’ve been thinking about. I’ll ask you for some reference photos or drawings and then we will come up with the design based on these. I don’t always need photos, I can work from you talking out whats in your head too, so don’t worry if you’ve never seen your dream piece of jewellery!

You can contact me through my website, email or instagram and we can organise a time/ date that suits you to meet up. Depending on your location, I can either meet you, call you or we can have a zoom meeting. I am also happy to work through email if you are too busy for a zoom or meet-up.
The zoom meetings are 30 minutes where we can talk about your ideas and I can learn a bit about you and your style. I will then go and draw up a few designs and we take it from there.

A consultation is a meeting between you and I to discuss making a piece of jewellery. These usually last 30 minutes and are a way for me to get to know you and understand what you are looking for. Please bring as much information about what you want made with you to a consultation, this can include your own drawings, reference photos, gemstones and anything that will help me further understand what you are looking for.
-
In short, no but I may need to if the design process takes longer than usual.
The first 30 minutes of our consultation is free and so are the designs I draw for you. If you require another consultation a small fee will be added to the overall cost of the jewellery you are having made. It usually doesn’t take too long to come to an agreed idea. The charge is only there if the process has to be restarted because of change of mind
It is also good to note that anything I design for you remains my intellectual property, which means you may not take my design to someone else looking for it to be made cheaper.
-
Usually 4-8weeks depending on the item. If I have to source an unusual gemstone it may take longer. If your project is time sensitive please let me know at the beginning so I can accommodate you.

I am very happy to work with you and your budget. Once we have agreed to a price I will require a 50% deposit to be paid before any work will begin. This helps pay for materials.
Once work has begun the deposit is non-refundable.
The balance is then payable on completion of work.
